Responsibilities: This position will support General Counsel and Investments, especially Mortgage Lending, on a wide variety of legal issues and to support general counsel and investments to ensure operational/administrative effectiveness, as well as compliance with legal matters Key Accountabilities: Responsible for coordinating all facets of each commercial loan transaction, including preparation of letter of instructions, assembling loan packages for closing attorney, loan document review, review of third party documentation, including leasing documentation, surveys, title policies, Environmental Phase 1 and 2 reports, property condition reports, ADA compliance, UCC filings, scheduling and interacting with outside attorneys, coordinating escrow arrangements and preparing disbursement instructions, as well as reviewing and following up on post closing requirements. Responsible for coordinating all mortgage loan servicing requests for all assumptions, modifications and/or future advances, including reviewing all loan documents and insuring that all are handled within the clients time frame. Assists with any other real estate matters including preparing draft of leasing documentation, contracts of sale, workouts and foreclosure document review and residential questions and issues related to previously owned subdivisions. Prepare for Libertys Investment Advisor the annual Confidentiality Agreements, Employee Annual Code of Ethics Certificate, the Certification on Policy and Procedures to Detect and Prevent Insider Trading. Prepares and files the Annual Brochure, state licensing and federal ADV filings, as well as any state and federal amendments needed during any calendar year, along with coordinating SEC examinations with Compliance. Assist with any daily correspondence, filing, corporate finance issues, TPA and IT projects and any involvement with the NC and SC Guaranty Associations and the Association of South Carolina Life Insurance Companies. .
