Responsibilities: To enable this, the function will require the capability to gather key pieces of Operational intelligence from across multiple product lines, and aggregate this to provide a view of counterparty risk, which can then be accurately assessed and managed. There is currently no existing technology that underpins this capability and so we have agreed a multi-year program with phased delivery to instil the new process, culture and underlying IT. The program will require the individual - to be risk-intelligent. That is, to understand what operational data can contribute to counterparty risk identification, the relative importance of it, and how different pieces of data can inter-relate in a risk framework - to be able to work across all Operations functions, to secure their buy in and understanding of this program, and to execute on it in order to gather the cross functional operational intelligence - to build relationships with the consumers of Counterparty Risk Operations, that is the risk management functions within the Bank - to focus both on identifying and implementing new IB-wide processes to support the functions objectives, in addition to identifying and implementing the required technology build - to be conscious of, and to contribute to means of changing the culture of Operations such that Operations becomes more counterparty risk- aligned to complement the existing operational risk alignment - to be comfortable with data, and to ˜see easily trends and abnormalities that could be indicative of issues - to work closely with the IT teams in place to ensure the technology delivery will meet requirements - to identify and gain agreement on approaches to delivery benefit incrementally and quickly in order for the function to begin to pursue its objectives whilst at the same time moving forward to a strategic end game - to act independently with limited supervision, to propose solutions to enable the key tenets of Counterparty Risk Operations to be achieved. Key activities will include those typical of a change management role: Business Case Development Analysis and Solution Definition Process Design and Analysis Creation, review and editing of business requirements related to proposed solution Ensuring that IT has correctly understood the business requirements Preparation of test cases and test scenarios Participation in test planning and test execution activities Ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner Monitoring and managing the change process Requirements Four Year Degree or International Equivalent..
