Accountant Analyst - (US-TX-Fort Worth - 76199) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Jobcode: N/A Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities: Provide training on compliance practices Prepare Rate Calculations - YTD on a monthly basis as well as Annual Plan Prepare Jounal vouchers to distribute engineering group labor Prepare subledger of costs incurred for development programs Prepare summary analysis of costs incurred for engineering efforts other than development programs Prepare other monthly reports and reconciliations as required Support Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements Support of review and audits of rate packages Implement improvements to processes in support of Lean environment Job Requirements : Education and Experience Bachelors degree (BS) in Accounting, MBA a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through six or more years of related experience and/or 3-5 years experience working in a government contracting environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of GAAP Working knowledge of CAS Working knowledge of FAR Strong Excel skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work effectively in a team environment Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, laws, and regulations, including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and/or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement principles and techniques. Proficient with automated accounting systems, spreadsheet applications, and internet/intranet communications. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports. Ability to prepare detailed reports, graphs, presentations, and business correspondence. Ability to respond to questions from management and customers; respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal-setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities. .
