Responsibilities: This position provides the laboratory support function of the Central Valley Angler Survey and operates the Central Valley Salmonid Tissue Archive. Incumbent will process coded-wire tags collected in Central Valley Chinook salmon fisheries in support of salmon management activities; collect, archive, and disseminate tissue samples in carrying out contractual obligations of the Central Valley Salmonid Tissue Archive; and collect routine biological data from scales and otoliths in age, growth, life history, and stock identification investigations of important Central Valley anadromous fishery resources. Incumbent will also maintain databases and laboratory facilities, and serve as lead to seasonal employees assigned to the lab. .
