Responsibilities: Software developer for a residential mortgage and whole loan business. Strong C and relational database skills are required, as is general knowledge and proficiency in a unix environment. The developer will be required to build and maintain applications and scripts on both Unix and Windows. The candidate needs to be a self starter capable of solving problems and developing technology projects from start to finish. This includes business analysis, design, coding and testing. Candidate will need to share ideas and discuss solutions with others, including off-site team members. As such, strong communication skills are also required. Experience with some scripting language is required; Perl strongly desired. Knowledge in data management, risk analytics, trading and pricing computing, and experience with loan or mortgage systems, are also desired.In addition to developing software, candidate will look at existing software to find solutions to business problems, as well as be able to evaluate software alternatives for developing future systems.We work very closely with the business, so the candidate will be required to discuss problems and solutions directly with the users.
