Media Prep Administrator - (US-TX-Houston - 77299) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities: This position at The Woodlands, TX location is responsible for screening, ingesting and prepping all programming material on tape and programming services for air on all networks. Preparation and distribution of all prep cue sheets and coordinating programming cut down of live events for replay while insuring the highest level of quality of all programs screened and prepped are also responsibilities. Essential Functions: Screens, preps and ingests all programming material on tape and servers for all networks. Prints and screens all programs to format, prepare and distribute detailed prep sheets for all networks indicting program and commercial sequence, timing, scoring, billboards and black holes. Programs are also screened for technical audio/video quality. Inputs programming status and deviations in ScheduAll. Checks all information against the data compiled on the prep sheets to ensure the proper materials are available and accurate for each master control prior to air. Interacts with Programmers, Network Operations, Traffic, Day of Air and Vault personnel about any format or production inconsistencies on specific shows. Performs off-line editing of some programming if minor adjustments are needed for program to match format, when requested by network programmers or Day of Air staff. Completes numerous daily reports providing status of all programs. Bachelors Degree in Communications or Radio and TV or 2 to 3 years commensurate experience. Knowledge: Video Production and Computer Based Switching Equipment, preferred. knowledge of sports and cable television is helpful. Language/Communication Skills: Strong verbal communications skills to interact with multiple departments. Mathematical Skills: Superior math sills are required to do calculations of prep sheets and run times of programming. Other Skills/Requirements: Good organizational and project coordination skills are necessary. Knowledge of Nesbit database systems, Automation systems and file Server management is preferred. Knowledge of sports venues and Cable television is a plus. knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook are necessary. A proven ability to multi-task and perform well under strict guidelines is required. The ability to work flexible hours is needed.
