This represents a $55 million annual budget.„X Negotiate with, select and manage external suppliers to deliver high quality products at the lowest total cost (i.e. customer service, price, equipment, schedule capabilities) with 100% on time delivery.„X Manage the print production processes including: quoting, supplier selection, scheduling, production management, lettershop, paper management, etc.„X Negotiate pricing, monitor industry pricing and drive cost savings for each print production job.„X Partner with strong strategic suppliers that ensure high quality, superior customer service, provide industry information and work to drive cost out of the process. Responsible to select, evaluate and manage performance of external suppliers for the print production process. The Supplier relationship is vital to the success of all marketing programs.„X Lead internal and supplier communication on production costs, schedules, and file sharing.„X Drive continuous improvement and production efficiencies throughout all production processes including: print, bindery, paper, letter shop, mailing, etc.„X Continue to build knowledge to drive postal efficiencies throughout the production process.„X Continue to Research and drive new ideas, technology and trends for all products.„X Keep abreast of key industry changes including catalog trends, paper market activity, postal changes, etc.„X Ensure consistency and compliance in the completion of all SAP purchase documents for marketing programs. Requirements: Bachelor¡¦s Degree in Business Admin. or related graphic arts area or 10 years related work experience.„X Strong technical background of the printing process, printing equipment (including digital, sheet fed and web presses), electronic pre-press software and bindery operations (including perfect and saddle-stitch equipment)„X Strong understanding of imaging technology.„X Proven experience with current postal requirements and specifications for all classes of mail including automation discounts.„X Expertise in paper buying and the paper market.
