You will have the opportunity to establish the best practices for utilizing SAP within the business and the technology infrastructure.As the global eyewear leader with 5,800 locations in North America including LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut, and Eye Med managed vision care. is looking for an SAP Basis Administrator to work on a managed vision care project.`DutiesLead a team to provide daily support, installation, configuration and administration of the SAP application suite consisting of ECC 6.0, SAP Solution Manager 4.0, SAP Business Warehouse 7.0, SAP Netweaver/PI 7.0 and related third party toolsProactively identify issues, problems and innovative ideas to optimize the operation of all SAP applicationsLead the SAP software installation and typical post installation setup activities including initial system backup, transport management system, performance tuning, request/setup SAP developer keys, setup SAPROUTER connection to SAP, configuration of the SAPLOGON entries and setup of printersManage the application of all SAP support packages, add-ons, IS-tool installs and upgrades as well as OSS notesCoach, guide and mentor existing associatesRequirements: BS Computer Science or related fieldo5-7 years of SAP Basis Administrationo5-7 years of IS related experienceoPrior experience in major software development activitiesoSAP experience with either SAP Netweaver 2004, SAP Solution Manager 4.0, SAP Business Warehouse 7.0 and SAP ECC 6.0Required SkillsStrong time management and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work with other technical teams to implement best technical solutionsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasksCapable of making effective change and comfortable with accepting the associated riskPlus FactorsoKnowledge of AIX and Oracle preferredoExperience with Linux and Windows operating systems preferredoExperience with engineering and architectural skills in regard to SAP installationsEOE
