Responsibilities: The primary function of the Food Service Worker - Production is preparing and serving food items for sale to AEHN staff and visitors, as well as providing patient meal services throughout the Network.They will follow all standard recipes, and printed production sheets as to the needs of the Patient and Retail services items needed.Employee will provide proper sanitation and food safety of all tasks required.Employee will follow all standardized portion control guidelines.Additional duties as assigned; which may include general cleaning, and service on patient tray line or retail stations.Employee will record written data on production sheets and temperature logs. Requirements: High School degree or equivalent is required.1-2 years experience in a healthcare food service setting is required.Experience in a large volume-cooking environment required. (Hospital, University, Banquet, Business, Nursing Home)Must have experience following recipes and production sheets as well as experience with culinary weights and measures for portion control.Must be able to read and write – will be expected to read from an assignment sheet on a daily basis.Must have demonstrated customer service skills.Culinary prep skills are a plus.Serve-Safe certification is preferred.Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, cutting, reaching pushing and lifting up to 50 lbs, standingWorking Conditions: Temperature changes, in and out of refrigeration and freezers, working with hazardous chemicals.
