My client, a premier distributor/manufacturer of high quality building products has an opportunity available on their procurement team for a Demand Planner. This is a highly visible position. The Demand/Inventory Analyst and Planner will be a critical part of a great environment working together to build a well oiled supply chain. This position performs analytical duties related to the day-to-day demand analysis, production planning, and inventory replenishment planning for thousands of SKUs. Their goals are to ensure their distribution centers have a high level of customer service/fill rate and high inventory turns as well as reducing freight costs by producing full load containers or meeting their vendor’s prepaid minimums. This position will closely work with the sales and marketing team, buyers, vendors, international logistics teams, warehouse teams, sourcing teams and product managers.

REQUIREMENTS

At least two to three years of SAP experience in demand analysis, production planning, and inventory replenishment planning is required.

Must understand the best practice/theory of demand analysis, production and inventory planning such as Deterministic MRP (PD), Consumption Based Planning (Forecast Based Planning – VV, Reorder Point Planning – V2, etc.), dynamic safety stock determining, lot size choosing, ABC analysis, etc.

Proficient analytical skills.

Demonstrated sound decision making, problem solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure.

Extreme attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a big plus such as VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLE. Proficiency with Microsoft Access desirable.

Fluency in Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
