Indianapolis based Equipment Rental and Supply business is looking for a professional Service Manager for the Indianapolis/Central Indiana market. We are one of the top suppliers in the Indiana market and are looking to expand our market share in a high growth construction market. Our company rents a wide range of name brand aerial lift/light construction equipment to the professional trade and some industrial customers. In addition, the Company has two other complimentary product lines in Construction Supplies, and heavy equipment Repair services, making us the ideal ?one-stop-shop? for all your construction needs. Our business is on a fast track growth path and we offer a fast-paced, fun work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Ø Strong customer focus; critical customer response (under 2 hour customer response requirement).
Ø Total Quality Management focus, ability to establish Quality Control and Assurance processes for equipment check in/out processes. Experience in Lean management, six sigma environment is a plus.
Ø Team management: ability to run a high performance, team oriented service shop, while maintaining a ?family atmosphere?.
Ø Lean daily management: ability to plan, manage, control work flow for optimum man hour capacity planning. This includes daily workload assignments, quality assurance and review processes, maintaining productivity/efficiency standards.
Ø Profit & Loss accountability for Rental service cost center and Customer Repair departments.
Ø Ability to grow the Company?s Customer repair business, including lead generation, customer relations.
Ø Experience with aerial lift equipment preferred, but not a necessity
Ø Supervise staff of 15 mechanics, 3-6 admin staff and 6 road mechanics.
Ø Implement department metrics systems for Rental and Customer Repair departments
Ø Establish controls over parts usage, customer billings and credits
Salary and benefits are favorable and highly competitive for Central Indiana standards. Relocation assistance will be considered.
