We are dedicated to providing our communities with quality healthcare in a warm and accommodating environment.We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist.Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Two year Associate degree preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Florida Licensed Histology Technician or Technology required H.T. (ASCP) preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: Less than one year required 1-3 years preferred SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Good interpersonal and customer relation skills Technical knowledge of Histology Computer skills Ability to read and follow instructions with little supervisionYou will perform complex histologic procedures and serves as a technical resource for less experienced staff. Assists with research projects. Maintains laboratory supplies and equipment; participates in the formulation and revision of departmental policies and procedures. Oversees quality assurance activities and makes recommendations for improvement.Ideal candidate will have solid experience with the following: grossing tissue specimens, frozen sections, embedding, as well as, routine and special stains.
