The global goal of this position is the use of evidence-based outcome initiatives in order to assist the system in achieving best practice/benchmarking facilities. This position operationalizes outcomes assessment initiatives through the hospital performance improvement process including the medical staff departments in order to evaluate effectiveness and potential opportunities for improvement. Additionally, the position is instrumental in providing feedback to clinicians, nursing and ancillary staff with accurate and meaningful data that promotes continuous analysis resulting in the modification of the delivery of care processes. They will facilitate and coordinate the achievement of hospital accreditation (JCAHO). This position also collaborates with administration, medical staff, departments/service lines, community agencies and other customers to provide optimum health care delivery. This position requires a bachelor degree or actively pursuing a degree. Master's Degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of hospital accreditation (such as JCAHO, state), current trends in Quality Management including but not limited to performance improvement, root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and "best practice models". .
