Responsibilities: Work involves a high level of independent judgment, decision making and initiative. Prepare and post journal entries. Prepare account reconciliations. Prepare and maintain supporting documentation. Perform various financial reporting activities within the CRM work group. Provide accounting support to General International Ltd. (GIL). Provide support during the financial closing process, financial reporting and analysis, earnings releases, and Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance. Manage the analysis, application, and implementation of new, existing, and proposed accounting guidance. Develop and present data to leadership.  Coordinate Process Risk Management (PRM) for CRM and GIL activities. Recommend continuing process and internal control improvements. Provide internal and/or external financial analysis, consultation and decision support. Provide value-based and market-based analysis that drive decisions. Proactively finding financial opportunity and leading change. Frequent contact with others outside the work group. Manage special projects. Responsible for the accounting, reporting and analysis of GM's Corporate Risk Management (CRM) activity.  Work involves a high level of independent judgment, decision making and initiative.
