Responsibilities: Under general supervision, performs driving duties for the Transportation Department. Picks up citizens and transports them to human services organizations and other destinations. Maintains daily records of passenger volume, number of stops, mileage and vehicle maintenance. Employee receives route assignments from the Transportation Dispatcher. Reports to the Director of Transportation and Nutrition. Essential Functions: Drives an assigned route to transport individuals to and from various human service locations, work sites, educational institutions, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and other locations. Provides information to the public regarding routes, established stops, etc. Assists passengers in getting in and out of vans and other provides other courtesies. Assists passengers in securing wheelchairs and other mobility devices. .
