While working with these speech and language students, the Speech/Language Pathologist may also work with At-Risk students within the general education population. Also works in collaboration with the Special Education Building Coordinator in the formation of daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings. Supplies the building coordinator with current Speech and Language student lists so he/she can maintain a master Special Education list. The SLP should demonstrate professionalism in dealing with confidentiality issues and creativity in challenging and reaching each students learning. Specific accountabilities include planning IEP meetings in a timely manner, maintaining complete records for all students, and carrying out pre-referral strategies and interventions to general educators. .
