Responsibilities: Advises the company on all aspects of applicable laws and regulations, focusing on banking, regulatory and legal compliance, marketing and corporate contracts. 3. Assumes the role of legal counsel for the Partnership Services groups; participate as a proactive core member of, and assimilate fully with the commercial team for such lines of business. Participate as a business partner in executing business strategy. 4. Drafts, reviews and negotiates agreements. 5. Manages outside counsel and vendors, including fees, use of, etc. 6. Ensures compliance monitoring and internal controls are in place, including processes for management of operational risk, in accordance with Company and regulatory standards. Requirements 1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar required. 2. Minimum of 8 years of legal experience combining corporate legal and private law settings including significant experience with matters pertaining to Financial Services. 3. Experience within financial services industry - including an ability to understand all facets of financial services. .
