Responsibilities: The DIRECTOR develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, efficient and cost-effective patient care.    In the absence of the Executive Director, the DIRECTOR will assume his/her duties of planning, directing and coordinating clinic activities. Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods affiliated with Sutter Medical Foundation North Bay, a not-for-profit organization, work closely together to serve a variety of health care needs in Sonoma and Lake Counies. Both organizations are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the people in the communities we serve.  To this end, Sutter Medical Foundation North Bay is seeking a full-time Division Director of Operations.   The primary function of the Director of Operations is to plan, direct, manage, monitor, coordinate, control and continuously evaluate the operations and support service activities of the Sutter Medical Foundation North Bay. This is to include all clinical, ancillary, quality, and facility/lease operations and functions. The position functions as a member of the administrative staff in setting overall administrative direction and ensures positive medical group relations. Requirements: Masters degree in health care or business administration preferred.  Five years senior level operational experience including administration of a major clinic, multi-specialty medical group or related healthcare organization.  Clinical/nursing education and experience preferred.  Must possess a valid California driver's license and be able to travel to clinic sites.   Knowledge:  In-depth knowledge of a large physician group practice or clinic operation. Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in the organization.  Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports.  Detailed understanding of revenue cycle function in outpatient medicine.  Knowledge of IDX and Epic practice management systems preferred.   Special Skills: Strong organizational skills. Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision making.  .
