Responsibilities: Work from consumer benefit-based technology platforms, lead projects to identify new to the category technical opportunities to fuel the skin and hair care innovation pipeline. Use both internal capabilities and external alliances (scouting vendors, academia and the professional sector) to identify new technology ideas. Provide up to date knowledge of new technologies/ingredients from journals, suppliers, technical seminars, and industry conferences. Connect technologies with consumer benefit opportunities, reduce to practice and develop assessment plans for technical proof of concept via in-vitro or in-vivo paths as appropriate. Work with Legal to develop patent strategies to support projects. Align with stakeholders, upper management and project team to ensure project scope, progress, development and project timelines are understood and maintained. Ensure successful transition of knowledge and skin/hair care technologies to Product Development. Work cross-functionally to clearly define roles and transfer process to ensure successful commercialization of innovations. Job Requirements BS Degree in the physical or biological sciences required, MS preferred 5 years experience. Strong understanding of skin and hair biology. Strong understanding of product development process with respect to marketing, formulation, claims development and production.
