Opportunities exist in the Department of Psychiatry research area, Applied Biostatistician. responsibilities include, but not limited to, execution and supervision of statistical analyses in a large, multinational, collaborative longitudinal study of progressive neurological illness. Requirements: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Mathematical statistics. A record of collaborative, peer-reviewed medical-scientific publication in which the applicant has assumed primary responsibility for statistical content is also required.Desirable Requirements: Highly desirable qualifications include proficiency in the theoretical basis of linear models, generalized linear models, mixed linear and nonlinear models, survival analysis, sample size determination and observational medical trial design; familiarity with the principles of Epidemiological research design and analysis; previous faculty/research-scientist level experience in applied biostatistics and expertise in statistical analysis and database management using the SAS system. Desirable qualifications include familiarity with statistical analyses of genomic, imaging, and/or other biomarker data; training in therapeutic clinical trial design and analysis; familiarity with the basic principles of Bayesian statistical analysis and its application using.
