Responsibilities: These positions may have joint appointments with other collegiate departments as needed. Opportunities exist in the Department of Psychiatry research area, Applied Biostatistician. responsibilities include, but not limited to, execution and supervision of statistical analyses in a large, multinational, collaborative longitudinal study of progressive neurological illness. Requirements: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Mathematical statistics. A record of collaborative, peer-reviewed medical-scientific publication in which the applicant has assumed primary responsibility for statistical content is also required.Desirable Requirements: Highly desirable qualifications include proficiency in the theoretical basis of linear models, generalized linear models, mixed linear and nonlinear models, survival analysis, sample size determination and observational medical trial design; familiarity with the principles of Epidemiological research design and analysis; previous faculty/research-scientist level experience in applied biostatistics and expertise in statistical analysis and database management using the SAS system. Desirable qualifications include familiarity with statistical analyses of genomic, imaging, and/or other biomarker data; training in therapeutic clinical trial design and analysis; familiarity with the basic principles of Bayesian statistical analysis and its application using.
