Responsibilities and Requirements: Under the direct supervision of a project manager, senior project manager, or research supervisor, assists in the implementation of a studyPerforms various technical, operational and clinical functions in a specific research project or portion of a multi-site projectStudy-related duties may patient recruitment; data collection, tracking and reportingAs a member of the Clinical Research Unit (CRU), you will be held accountable for compliance with federal, state, institutional, and departmental requirementsYou will be trained on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for Researchers and on Human Research Participant Protection; completion of training will be documentedAs a member of the Analytic Resources Team, you will be responsible for complying with job-specific guidelines pertaining to functions including data use, transfer, archiving, and accessYou will also be responsible for protocol-specific requirements as approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB)Training will be provided and documented Requirements: : Associate's degree in science, social science, allied health science, public health or medical fieldBachelor's degree preferredKnowledge of medical terminologyExperience using computer office software for purposes of creating participant materials (e.g., brochures, newsletters), spreadsheets and database developmentExperience using the InternetExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsTwo years of previous experience in a medical research setting or a social science research setting requiredDemonstrated customer service skills, customer focus abilities and the ability to understand customer needs
