Spectrum Manager - (US-VA-Newport News - 23630) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities and Requirements: Has experience or extensive knowledge with the processes and procedures relative to Frequency ManagementCoordinates reviews and supervises work of assigned staffReviews/oversees preparation of all related documentation; conducts program reviews, meetings, etcWorks independently under general guidelines or objectives set by supervisorEmploys a high degree of creativity, foresight and judgment to plan, organize and guide programsAdditionally the following specific tasks must be performed:Reviews the frequency assignment proposals to determine whether or not these proposals, if approved, would result in technical conflicts with existing frequency assignmentsReviews the frequency assignment proposals for compliance with applicable policy, regulations, and procedures, and recommend corrective action when necessary; understand and use the National Table of Frequency Allocations, various assignment plans, restrictions, rules and procedures for authorizing frequency assignments.Performs interference analysis, frequency nomination and processing using Spectrum XXI and the Government Master File (GMF).Evaluates and initiates frequency proposals in the GMF format.Performs Site surveys and assists in the development of communications plans for the various Coast Guard DistrictsMINIMUM Requirements: Possess a minimum Secret security clearance.7 years Spectrum Management experience or 10 years Coast Guard Communications experience. Requirements: School house trained spectrum manager15 years Coast Guard Communications experience.
