Technical Specialist

We are currently looking for a Technical Specialist for a contract position with a NYS Agency in NY, NY. This position is expected to last at least 18 months.

Duties will include:
• Provide Help Desk support
• Perform Active Directory Administration, inventory updates and PC/printer moves as directed
• Installation of desktop hardware/peripherals and printers
• Set up new users with access to required resources
• Assist senior team members in performing server backups
• Assist senior team members in diagnosing/resolving systems and network problems

Mandatory Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year IT Technical support experience in Windows Active Directory 2003 management
• Minimum 1 year IT technical support experience in Windows XP desktop
• Minimum of 1 year IT technical support experience in installation of desktop hardware/peripherals and printers
• Minimum of 1 year experience diagnosing/supporting TCP/IP Networks in a LAN/WAN environment

Desirable Experience:
• Experience with Server 2003 hardware/software support including server administration
• Experience running a Network Attached Storage (NAS) solution
• Experience with EMC Legato RepliStor
