JOB DESRIPTION:
The Technical Project Manager will define, plan, and execute technical projects according to schedule, resource, and budget constraints working with cross-functional teams and ensuring quality outcomes.
He/she will direct and manage project development from beginning to end and define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders. Others -
Will also develop project plans and associated communications documents.
Will delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Will plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Will track project milestones and deliverables.
KEY QUALIFYING SKILLS:
Must have at least 8 years experience in a technical project management capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution.
Must be comfortable working with global teams spread across multiple global regions
Must have strong familiarity with software project methodologies e.g. waterfall, iterative, MSF, and Agile.
Must have strong familiarity with software engineering processes and methodologies.
Must have strong familiarity with Client and Enterprise Hardware.
Strong familiarity with Windows Operating Systems - XP, Vista, Server, Windows 7.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
MCSD or MCSE certification.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
SOFT SKILLS:
Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Candidate should be able to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Candidate should be able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Should be able to defuse tension amongst project team, should it arise.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
EDUCATION:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Comp Sc /Engg, EE, MIS/IT, Business Admin or similar area or equivalent relevant job experience and certifications!
