Start Date: 4/1/2009Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: VA - Herndon, VA - Falls Church Job description:We are currently looking for mid-level Test and Evaluation Engineers. Secret clearance desirable, or possess clearable ability to acquire a DoD clearance. DESCRIPTION: - Responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results. Record, manually create, or modify performance test scripts to test system functionality using requirements and performance related documents. Document and validate resolution of identified defects. Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies. - Performs moderately complex assignments as part of a project team. Observes and reports conditions which might impact current or future test activities. Evaluates and recommends appropriate actions where possible. Education Required:Bachelors Degree Experience Requirements/Skills:Four (4) to Six (6) years of performance/load testing experience - At least 4 years of performance, load and test automation experience using HP Mercury?s QuickTest Professional and LoadRunner - Must be detailed oriented and understand mission objectives with the ability to work under the direction of the Manager to develop, maintain and run performance and/or load test scripts - Able to prepare reports summarizing test results and collaborate with developers and users to establish performance parameters and test conditions and to optimize testing - Work with the Manager to develop and maintain performance/load test plans and schedules - Experience with end-to-end software system testing required - Familiarity with all phases of the software life cycle and demonstrated analytical and diagnostic skills - Excellent communication and analytical skills required to convey complex issues, concepts and test results. - Excellent oral and written communication skills required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Familiarity with Agile development projects and current technologies is desired - Experience with testing complex, transaction-intensive web-based systems highly desired - Experience with MetaMatrix, WebLogic, GIS, Oracle PL/SQL, XML or Web Services experience a plusSpecial requirements:- Must be US Citizen, and either possess or be clearable to acquire a Secret clearance ***Required: Candidate must have passed a certified Drug Test & Background Check prior to start date.
