Responsibilities: The Production & Inventory Control Planner will report directly to Managing Director, North America Sales and will be a key player in the logistics team management of multiple warehouses, transportation, inventory control, order processing and coordination with factories. In addition the Planner will perform business and systems analysis on the overall product delivery and supply chain process on behalf of our customers; identify and recommend process changes, which facilitate freight savings, instill material efficiencies, and improve on-time delivery performance. The Planner will work closely with both the sales team and the logistics team in order to achieve targets and enhance the overall customer experience. Summary of essential job functions Monitors assigned tasks and keeps the Logistics Manger abreast of any issues, concerns, and problems Inventory forecasting and supply chain management Effective in running multiple warehouse operations and working with third party logistics companies Vendor management Improve department performance through analysis involving freight expense, carrier performance, procedural evaluations, carrier pricing and service proposals, and other new initiatives Responsible for day-to-day operational execution, follow-up and customer service within the Transportation department Coordinate and maintain ocean carrier performance metrics and scorecards Monitor the execution of carrier pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Domestic Inbound network and insure that performance indicators are being met Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent in distribution / logistics, 3 years relevant experience Strong analytical thinking and process orientation skills..
