Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Chief Deputy Warden (CDW) and lead of the Appeals Coordinator (AC), the Staff Services Analyst (General) (SSA) will review, screen, and categorize all incoming inmate appeals. The SSA prepares statistical reports as needed. This position not only prepares draft responses to appeals but will track the nature, disposition, and corrective actions generated by inmate appeals filed on institution issues; assists with modification orders and compiles statistical data on specific appeal issues and appeal related information; assists training institutional staff in appeals; conducts research necessary for second level inmate appeal responses; tracks all overdue first level appeal responses and maintains statistics on noncompliance with time constraints. The SSA must have excellent writing skills, the ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of initiative. .
