Handles customer questions regarding billing procedures and/or problems and identifies and corrects errors or discrepancies on customer billing. Trouble-shoots customer service problems and schedules service calls. Serves as a sales representative and will utilize retention skills in order to save a downgrade or disconnect of service. Responsible for taking requests for new, upgrade, downgrade, transfer or disconnect service, and responsible for accurate computer entries and paperwork associated with any transactions. Performs clerical functions, such as responding to written customer inquiries, completing daily, weekly or monthly reports, and various other non-phone functions, as assigned. Responsible for promoting a welcoming, friendly, professional environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: A high school diploma or its equivalent (GED) At least 6 months of face-to-face and/or over-the-telephone customer service experience Ability to work evening and weekend hours Basic keyboarding work experience Working knowledge of basic P.C. skills, including email Ability to calculate basic math problems, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages Ability to apply problem solving skills in resolving customer situations Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information Ability to work under minimal supervision and guidance Ability to communicate effectively, both orally & in writing Ability to maintain good customer relations and a professional attitude..
