Responsibilities and Requirements : About the jobThis vacancy was posted on 10/27/09Marketing and Communications Intern for Educational Music CompanyWe are a small educational publisher that produces hip-hop music and learning tools to teach students is grades 3-12. Our goal is to motivate students to succeed in school by making the curriculum more accessible. We are a small company with a dynamic work environment, and our business is growing. We are in the midst of an exciting series of marketing campaigns, and are looking for an intern who can assist with the following tasks:- Help with coordination and execution of marketing campaigns- Writing copy for company blog, website and marketing materials- Light proofreading and editorial work- Outreach to existing customers for promotions and service- Outreach to leads- Occasional outreach to blogs, magazines and other members of the pressThe ideal applicant should have an ability to multitask and work autonomously. While this is a learning opportunity, this person will be responsible for managing and executing projects.The internship is part time: 2 or 3 days a week. We will set up the details of the schedule with you.To be considered for the internship, you should have a college degree or be enrolled in a college or university. We can offer college credit for this position. We offer a travel stipend of $100/month and a food stipend of $10/day.Please submit a resume and cover letter
