Responsibilities : The Process Engineer will work closely with production and quality to actively pursue continuous improvement projects of a web coating and converting production facility. Projects will focus on reducing process variation to improve product consistency and improving productivity to reduce production costs.:- Using data collection and analysis techniques perform engineering calculations to solve operating problems and optimize line operations.- Support production to achieve maximum self-sufficiency and automation.- Lead efforts to install or improve effectiveness of process monitoring equipment.- Participate in cross-functional teams for improving quality, productivity and on time delivery.- Provide process engineering support on resolution of process and equipment problems- Provide coaching and development to production operators.- Utilize lean manufacturing tools to design and develop improvements to the manufacturing process- Provide support to process development and qualification trials.- Provide statistical analysis of data to support production processes ie CPk, Gage R&R- Member of Team that investigates quality incidents, process deviations , customer complaints and inquiries.- Familiar with investigative and problem solving tools ie Six Sigma & TOPS 8D.- Participate in operations meetings to provide process engineering input to the team.- Lead process audits to ensure production operates in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements : BS degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical) or related field is required.- Must have 5 years experience working as a process engineer- Experience in a web handling, coater or converter facility a plus.- Certification in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) a plus.- Familiar with statistical data analysis software such as Minitab- Experience with polymers/adhesives/films a plus- Experience with AutoCAD a plus.- Must have understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.- Knowledge of statistical tools for manufacturing (DOE, SPC, CPk)- Familiar with FMEAs, CPs, MSA & TOPS 8D- Familiar with 5S, Lean Manufacturing & 6 Sigma tools- Experience driving process improvements.- Good math skills and experience establishing productivity metrics.
