Responsibilities : Head Women Volleyball CoachCarries out all aspects of the women volleyball program necessary to accomplish the objectives of the sport within the university, the athletic department, the WHAC and NAIA rules and regulationsOversees the development and promotion of the volleyball programProvides positive Christian leadership for programFosters a sense of unity and fellowship in the athletic department and CU communityEstablishes positive communication relationships with media and public agenciesMaintains communication with conference coaches and represents CU at conference meetingsAttends local, regional and national professional development clinics, conventions and seminarsAttends athletic department meetings and meets with athletic director on regular basisDevelops and presents proposals for program involvementMaintains first aid and CPR certificationsRecruits and retains highly skilled student-athletes for the women volleyball teamScout high school games and various volleyball tournamentsDevelops recruiting listCorresponds with recruits (e-mail, letters, phone calls, etc)Hosts and coordinate recruit visitsEncourages and promotes good teamwork and positive behaviorDevelops the annual women volleyball scheduleSends out and secures game contractsArranges for certified officials to referee all home matches and tournaments

Requirements :Masters Degree in Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or a related disciplineSuccessful Experience in teaching and coaching collegiate level volleyballSuccess in a collegiate program as either an assistant or head coach preferredGood organizational, communication and coordination skill essentialAbility to work well under deadlines and high pressure situationsAbility to recruit student-athletes with potential for academic and athletic success personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitmentA theology that supports the values and mission of as evidence by an ability to affirm and sign the university doctrinal statement, The Cornerstone Confession.
