As a result of our growing retail presence across the country, our Retail Home Office has exciting professional opportunities for a Sr. Retail Merchandiser/Buyerfor the Men's/Women's Outerwear category.Based at our corporate location in Freeport, Maine, our Sr. Merchandisers/Buyers are responsible for the development and execution of the assortment plans as well as specific categories for both softgoods and hardgoods. Additional responsibilities include cross-functional tasks associated with forecasting and visual presentation to meet both brand and financial goals for the assigned area. Other responsibilities will Developing the most compelling, competitive assortment for each store for each floor set/season.Assuming responsibility for top line sales and bottom line margin.Creating merchandising vision for each floor set/season to turn over to the Visual team.Participating in strategic planning for assigned areas.Taking a lead role with other Merchandisers in teaching, training, and coaching on job-related skills.The successful candidate possesses 5 years retail merchandising experience and holds a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Strong financial management acumen, inventory management experience and product development expertise are also necessary.
