Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for: Leading a multidisciplinary team to introduce new products into manufacturing; working with the product development team, the manufacturing test engineering, manufacturing team and vendors to ensure all issues related to production are resolved for on-time delivery of products; reviewing product designs for manufacturability; creating manufacturing work procedures for factory operators, working with purchasing to select vendors and procure material; proactively identifying and resolving manufacturing issues ahead of the impact point. The products are safety-systems that involve digital and analog circuits, firmware, power supplies, and electro-mechanical devices. Specific Desired Skills A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following: Expertise in all areas related to board-level and industrial control manufacturing. Demonstrated hands-on work approach and examples of hands-on involvement in prior work positions. Expertise introducing products that involve one or more of the following areas: new product, board-level designs; embedded or application software (C/C ); electromechanical control systems; PLC-type systems; FPGA; and microprocessor-based systems. (this is a designer, and not a product engineer). Familiarity with hardware design and embedded software design and development highly desirable. Demonstrated �finisher� and �self-starter� with common sense and the ability to be creative, persistent and stay with a problem until it is resolved in the right manner and with a minimum of management. Must be detail oriented. Experience in the nuclear industry highly desirable. .
