Click Here to Apply OnlineResponsibilities : Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms. Recommend changes/additions to system program/policies to Chief Compliance Officer. Advise senior management, business and strategy leaders and appropriate others regarding potential or existing risks in current or proposed operations as relates to home health, hospice, home medical equipment/respiratory services, pharmacy infusion, non-medical attendant care/care management, and other specialty programs or services that the hospital may offer. Partner with business unit leaders to increase awareness of the importance of integrating compliance requirements in developing new service lines or other business arrangements. Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory matters arising outside of the Ethics and Compliance Department to determine relevance to the Ethics and Compliance Program.
Requirements :The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or clinical degree in health care related field with substantial experience in healthcare compliance. Master's degree like MPH, MBA, MHA, J.D., or MD is preferred. Certification in Healthcare Compliance required, or must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment. A law degree, admission to the State Bar of California, and substantial experience in health care and compliance law may be substituted for Certification. Must have demonstrated significant business and/or healthcare compliance experience, including working with senior leaders. Experience working with a governing Board is strongly desired. This level of experience is typically obtained in 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in a health system or healthcare law or healthcare consulting environment. Must have a working knowledge of management of an effective ethics and compliance program, including training, monitoring, conducting and documenting investigations, addressing violations and monitoring corrective actions. Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements strongly desired. Knowledge of other disciplines outside of own area of expertise, including business planning, clinical disciplines, human resources, finance, clinical and financial auditing, and information technology is desired.
