Responsibilities : Reporting to the Manager of Procurement Operations, this position will be the primary liaison for Perrigo and its Material Suppliers. The Buyer will work closely with their suppliers to ensure Quality standards are met for their assigned materials. Communication and business decisions with suppliers will require high standards of professionalism and ethics. The Buyer will be responsible for meeting cost goals with all suppliers by negotiating lowest total cost, terms and conditions, and by identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities. This position will also be responsible for ensuring high levels of service to multiple plants locations, by resolving issues with suppliers and working towards long-term solutions. The responsibilities of this position also include managing projects through new product committee, communication of supplier performance, and implementation of action plans. The successful candidate would manage, develop and provide all supply chain technical data to the supplier.

Requirements :Bachelor degree is required. Major in business, materials management, or a related field are preferred. 1- 3 years of procurement or related experience is also required. Excellent problem solving skills, leadership abilities, sound decision making skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as on a team, and meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment are critical to the position¢â‚¬â„¢s success. The ideal candidate would possess sourcing and negotiating experience. Strong PC skills (word-processing, spreadsheet) required; SAP experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to represent Perrigo in a polished and professional manner on the telephone and in person to all levels of suppliers and Perrigo employees are essential. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, handle interruptions, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to successfully meet daily goals is required.
