Responsibilities : Job This position is responsible for routine testing of petroleum and petrochemical products in a laboratory environment. This position works under direct supervision. Receive, examine, and record through a log-in process, in bound items for testing. Prepare samples and quality control specimens, prepare and standardize reagents and solutions, and to calibrate equipment needed for testing purposes. Perform testing of samples and quality control specimens using specified methodology. Verify and communicate results obtained, and make appropriate entries into instrument logs, control charts, calibration records, laboratory worksheets, and any other media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure validity and traceability of information. Maintain documentation, equipment, and work areas in a neat and orderly condition. Carry out above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in doing so.

Requirements :The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: BS science degree or a high school diploma with a minimum 3 years experience testing petrochemicals such as crude oil, fuel oil and finished products using ASTM, IP, etc. methodology to be considered as entry level Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Ability to work in an environment that balances teamwork with independent contributions Excellent communication, problem solving, organization and computer skills are essential. Gas Chromatography and Octane Engine experience a plus.
