Responsibilities and Requirements : As an Underwriting Supervisor, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to Senior Underwriting team. You are responsible for meeting and exceeding company standards for productivity, quality, time in process and customer satisfaction. You will interpret and implement underwriting guidelines in a Call Center production environment for Prime and FHA loans. The Supervisor sets Performance Plans to achieve monthly and annual goals. You will develop the skills of subordinates through goal-setting, delegation, training, counseling and performance management. You are the highest-level underwriter designation within the underwriting team. In this role, you will underwrite and review submitted files to analyze for Capacity, Capital, Character and Condition. This includes ensuring that loan requests meet program and product specifications or counteroffer to a different product and/or program when appropriate. In addition, you will communicate decision (approval, suspense, denial) to appropriate individuals within Chase, uphold fair lending practices of Chase Mortgage, meet targets for productivity, quality and customer satisfaction, and perform second review of contract underwritten denials from all areas. of two years of supervisory level experience of three years experience as a DE underwriter of five years mortgage experienceCollege degree preferredExcellent analytical and decision making skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation skillsThorough knowledge of MI policiesStrong supervisory skillsThorough knowledge of complex personal and business financial analysis and an expertise in tax return and balance sheet analysis, including both cash flow and AGI methodsKnowledge and proficiency in all levels of mortgage underwriting including Agency, Jumbo and Super Jumbo lending  Chase is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
