RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide software development process expertise to the JPALS Software Integrated Product team. Monitor prime and sub-contractor software development efforts, provide insight to the government POC such as: early identification ofareas needing attention, development of plans for corrective action, analysis of contractor software development processes and adherence to those processes, review and comment on software related contractor CDRLs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or another relevant technical discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired). The applicant must demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment and must have demonstrated capability, under supervision, of designing, debugging and developing software components. Superior oral and written communications skills are essential.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), SEI, systems integration, s/w and systems development processes, Object oriented languages, embedded s/w, aircraft mission computer s/w or shipboard weapon systems/w, avionics systems, navigation systems, record of accomplishment in previous Software Engineering efforts, experience with interacting with various engineering disciplines and program managers in an IPT environment, familiarity with DoD and NAVAIR acquisition processes and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews.
