Responsibilities: Design & model custom implants which range from modifications of existing devices to the development of customized implants from patient specific x-rays or CT data. Manage the documentation process for both individual custom products as well as the release of special low volume production implants. Interface with vendor and internal cell personnel. Interface with the sales force or directly with the surgeon in order to confirm design intent and key features, obtain design approval, and coordinate order placement and shipment. Technical report writing. Requirements: 2 years of product design experience in the medical device industry or equivalent. Familiarity with design controls with in a regulated industry. Prior work experience in the medical device industry desired. Self-starters, have a hands-on approach and capability to work independently. Experience with a parametric CAD design package. PRO E preferred. Unigraphics a plus. Ability to manage multiple competing requests at the same time..
