Responsibilities and Requirements : Must Have: Maintenance manual writing/publication background required. Experience in writing task instructions, and development of large scale publications required. Accuracy in documentation. Must be able successfully pass a Gov't background investigation. Sample portfolio requested at interview.b. Optional Experience: Familiarity with XML documents. Publication programs (e.g. Arbortext Epic Editor, Adobe, Framemaker/ Pagemaker). Manipulating text and art formats. US Army publication or automotive technical writing experience.:a. Receives guidance from Team Lead/Program Management.b. Provides guidance to junior team members and performs as part of a team.c. Works independently to complete assigned tasks.Duties:Supports the conversion of Department of the Army Technical Manuals to include Repair Manuals, Repair parts and Special Tools List National Maintenance Work(NMWR) and Depot Maintenance Work a. Coordinates with technical personnel to understand content of desired communications.b. Formats Technical Manual IAW standards, staffs with appropriate technical and management personnel, and makes modifications as directed.c. Coordinates with technical illustrators to assure consistency of textual and graphical material.d.
