Responsibilities : The individual reports to a Senior Manager in Product Development and interfaces extensively with many functions within the business to perform the role.The Product Line Manager is the focal point for device vendor relationships and primarily responsible for driving product line from roadmap decision to technical acceptance.Additionally, the Product Line Manager shall support post launch activities through vendor escalation and driving high priority issues into future product releases.The successful candidate shall actively collaborate and build consensus with internal teams to balance business needs, technical performance and user experience in a fast paced multi-tasking environment. The Product Line Manager must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization from junior engineer to CXO. This position requires the ability to manage internal and external expectations and clearly communicate across organizations.This position requires good organizational and interpersonal skills. Requirements :Excellent knowledge of telecommunications industry knowledge, including experience with handset manufactures, mobile operators, or chipset suppliersThorough understanding of wireless technologies, system architecture, protocols and standards; specifically GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, or CDMA protocolUnderstanding of PRCRB or GCF is a plus but not requiredUnderstanding of RF and radiated performanceKnowledge of wireless services including SMS, MMS, WAP/HTTP, J2ME, FOTA, SCOMOPrior knowledge of software development processesStrong written/verbal communication and collaboration skillsStrong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detailAbility to multitask across products and OEMsStrong program and project management skills including developing schedules and managing riskEducation:Bachelor in CS, EE, or technical degree is preferred MBA is a plusAt least 5 years project management experience10 years experience in the telecommunications or wireless industryGet ready for more with T-Mobile: career growth, personal recognition, and a diverse, high-energy culture are just the beginning.
