Responsibilities : The person in this position is responsible for the overall facilities functions and activities in HealthPartners computer room(s) and related facilities. include managing the mechanical infrastructure, ensuring effective vendor/utility relationships for continuous operations in a 24x7 environment, security of the computer operations and limited secure access to facilities, and managing computer-room receivables. The incumbent in this position is a hands-on manager of processes and operations. This person manages moderate to complex projects and project components.Key roles, responsibilities & functions for this position.For supervisory position -- indicate positions/departments supervised. TASKS1. Manages the mechanical infrastructure within computer room and related facilities on a 24-hour x 7-day basisa. Creates computer room floor plans and design layoutsb. Manages environmentally-controlled raised-floor computer room(s) including calculating additional support requirements and general reconfiguration needsc. Runs Generator and regularly tests entire path to ensure dependability and functionalityd. Oversees general maintenance of the facilities; coordinates daily and annual cleaning schedulese. Provides expertise to repair mechanical items in the computer roomsf. Diagnoses and coordinates the repair of electrical problemsg.

Requirements :1. 4-year degree in area of Mechanical or Electrical engineering OR 3 years study at a technical trade school and 3 years experience in the mechanical or engineering industry2. 3 years experience in a large data center computing environment that included multiple campus locations3. Previous project management experience in a facilities environment4. Previous experience with establishing and maintaining security processes and policies5.
