Responsibilities and Requirements : Department / Hospital:UMH Cardiac Rehabilitation DepartmentProvide effective and efficient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation in accordance with the APTA guidelines for physical therapy. Participate in development of the services and programs provided by UMH.Must be a Graduate from a program approved by the APTA and shall hold a current state license as applicable. The Physical Therapist shall be responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice according to APTA guidelines in the full scope of Physical Therapy services.Additional Requirments;3 to 5 years experience as Physical Therapist with 1 year working with high risk cardiopulmonary or medically complex or acute medical patients. Must have current BCLS and ACLS certification. ABPTS, ACSM certified or eligible. Additional continuing education courses in exercise physiology, which may include MS or PHD in exercise physiology / science and or cardiac rehabilitation Experience in graded exercise program planning, supervision and counseling with cardiopulmonary rehab patients Knowledge of rhythm strip analysis and basic 12 lead EKG interpretation Strong business and administrative skills that include program direction, scheduling, problem resolution, financial review and quality improvement.
