Responsibilities : BenefitsSupplemental QuestionsPerforms preventative maintenance and service (e.g., tunes gas and/or diesel engines; inspects vehicles/equipment for damage; adjusts parts; changes fluids; operates electronic system scope) on cars, trucks, mowers, lawn mowers, stake body trucks, tractors, generators, chain saws, weed eaters, pumps, tar distributors and other motorized equipment as assigned by supervisor. Test drives state vehicle/equipment (e.g., cars, trucks, mowers, lawn mowers, stake body trucks, tractors, generators, chain saws, weed eaters, pumps, tar distributors & other motorized equipment) to ensure proper operation after completion of repairs.Rebuilds, replaces and/or repairs major parts on cars, trucks, and other equipment (e.g., exhaust system, carburetors, electrical systems, water or fuel pumps, batteries, brake systems, clutches, & alternators).Performs minor repairs or other related mechanical work (e.g., adjusts valves; changes and repairs all types of tires; cleans or replaces diesel injectors; repairs or replaces hydraulic pumps or systems; replaces shocks; installs snow plow blades; performs minor body repair work).Maintains Equipment Management System (EMS) records on parts used and work performed on equipment; orders and/or picks up parts. Service and repairs of highway equipment in the field; uses welding equipment to straighten and fabricate metal.Snow removal when necessary and other related duties as required

Requirements :24 mos. exp. in automotive repair & maintenance of variety of vehicles or equipment. The final applicant accepted for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment, per Section 3719.01 & 3719.41 of Ohio revised code.Applicant must possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement to be considered for this position.Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code
