Responsibilities and Requirements : Senior Counsel, Mergers and AcquisitionsDuties: Contributes to mergers and acquisitions is responsible for providing legal advice, counsel and services in the area of mergers and acquisitions, including leading and coordinating legal and functional due diligence, structuring and document preparation efforts to effect and strategic investment opportunities, and supporting acquisition integration acquisition, divestiture, alliance. Will be responsible for supporting VP/Associate Counsel - M&A and corporate and business development personnel. Drafts and negotiates contracts relating to target business with oversight by senior lawyers. Advises clients on business and legal transactional risks and recommends course of action. Leads and facilitates various constituents who are stakeholders in an acquisition or divestiture matter. Takes responsibility for the outcome of a portion of a project. Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller piecesCollaborates with others and builds strategic alliances globally. negotiates to build broad-based support and/or persuades others in order to. Ensures that customers have a positive experience; commits to meet or exceed customer expectations. Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions, services and products; manages monetary assets and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness.
