Responsibilities : The Lean Six Sigma Coordinator is part of a team that evaluates and assists the Durham site in implementing Lean Six Sigma processes to include supporting Lean / Six -Sigma methodologies and  Asset Management principles; providing training to work teams and/or area coordinators on these principles; working with the teams to identify sources of efficiency loss; coordinating efforts to eliminate waste, reduce operating costs, and maximize throughput.  The Coordinator will work with Senior LSS Coordinators and Divisional LSS resources to improve operations; manages site metrics processes; support individual departments and site management to develop and maintain a sustainable Lean Manufacturing environment.  Works with employees/teams in identifying skill gaps to develop and implement training programs encompassing regulatory, technical, computer, business, Lean manufacturing.  Responsible for staying abreast of new and changing technology, procedures, and management practices to maintain a highly skilled workforce.Applies Lean / Six Sigma /Asset Management principles to improve the performance of production processes, the reliability of equipment, and the effectiveness of personnel.  

Requirements ::High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 6 years lean manufacturing experience OR Bachelor degree and 2 years of lean manufacturing experienceWorking knowledge of pharmaceutical operationsPreferred:Experience in Six Sigma, training systems and theory Asset Management techniques, process optimization, equipment / process reliability. Consistently cited as a great place to work, we discover, develop, manufacture and market a wide range of vaccines and medicines to address unmet medical needs.
