Responsibilities and Requirements : Reports any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be fixed immediately.Maintains a daily driver's log for mileage and cargo where required by DOT regulations.Assists in other areas as needed between assigned pickups.Keeps vehicle clean.Other duties as assigned. Operates an articulating vehicle (i.e. Tractor-Trailer combination).  Picks up and delivers mail from customer sites and performs the following duties:Inspects products to verify conformance to customer and United States Postal Service specifications and regulations.Ensures that the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickup slip is attached with each order prior to loading on the truck.Inspects assigned vehicle per the PB Presort Services pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily.  Reports any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be fixed immediately.Maintains a daily driver's log for mileage and cargo where required by DOT regulations.Assists in other areas as needed between assigned pickups.Keeps vehicle clean.Other duties as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and meet or exceed the requirements listed below.  These requirements are not all inclusive but are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: 21 years of agePossess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License in the state you reside.Ability to drive tractor-trailer combination. Ability to meet and comply with all applicable US Department of Transportation requirements.Ability to regularly sit and/or stand for long periods of timeAbility to occasionally bend/stoop.Ability to lift, push and/or carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to read a map and understand directions.Good written and oral communication skills.
