Duties include: designing, implementing and maintaining complex databases; designing, creating and maintaining multi-dimensional models and structures in a database management system environment; designing necessary database reorganizations; assisting in design of logical security for locally maintained databases; performing debugging of complex database problems and design issues; overseeing data recovery procedures for locally maintained databases; designing cross-platform database integration solutions, working with users of locally created and maintained databases, and assessing system requirements; overseeing program testing; providing user training on new database products; coordinating database development; managing database projects; providing technical supervision over the work of the Data Base Analyst; overseeing and checking coding; overseeing creation of documentation; acting as advisor and trainer to the webmaster in the use of web development and content management systems and participating with the Associate Director for Systems Development and Director in strategic planning for application development and database services for the Law School community.

Requirements : Bachelors Degree and eight (8) years of experience in a Computer or business support position. Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in developing and deploying applications using client server and web application tools. Must have four (4) years of experience in database development, preferably Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005. Must have three (3) years of .Net experience including ASP .Net, VB.Net or . and three (3) years of experience with Business Applications design and programming. # 010288 Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are also required.
