Responsibilities : Planned Systems International, a Government Contractor, has an opportunity available for an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester to support one of our Government customers in Bay Pines, FL. As part of Testing Services, the Independent Validation and Verification team provides independent testing on Software and applications for the VA customer. This team constructs tests utilizing an appropriate testing methodology, testing requirements and designs, creates Test Plans, prepares test documentation, and performs Functional / Integration Testing and Performance testing. The team interacts with the customer and/or project team to gain an understanding of the application requirements and conformance criteria. Members of this group define test scope; plan deliverables for the testing activities of assigned projects; collect, identify, define, and organize detailed information related to testing requirements.Essential Job Functions & :As a member of the IV&V Team, a successful candidate (team member) will plan, manage and execute tasks related to the test cases, test scripts, and test data. And, he or she will plan and manage the execution of tests and the capture of test results. Candidates need to be able to understand and perform this work using appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and or technical problems. Metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria will also be applied.

Requirements :Must have a college degree and 3 - 5 years IT experience including proven experience writing and executing test scripts (both manual and automated). Specific experience is required with analysis and testing through all software development lifecycle stages and with using most or all of the Mercury Test Tools (WinRunner, Quick Test Pro, Quality Center, TestDirector, LoadRunner, and Performance Center). Knowledge of at least one of the following is required: Java, J2EE, or Mumps (M). Experience with Rational Tools (i.e., Requisite Pro, Clear Quest, Clear Case) and SQL is also required. Must have ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, handle changing priorities, be detail oriented, and able to work independently. Must also have good oral and written communication skills, be willing and able to mentor others, and exhibit demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
