Click Here to Apply OnlineResponsibilities : The Consumer Compliance Supervision Analyst performs analyses of complex issues related to financial services consumer compliance supervision or regulatory activities, bank and bank holding company applications involving Community Reinvestment Act and consumer compliance matters, and the effectiveness and efficiencies of the Division's programs and policies, including those relating to Reserve Bank oversight. Participates fully in other consumer compliance supervision projects, and identifies problems or potential problems in laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and other programs related to financial services matters. Prepares memoranda to keep the Board, Division management, and the Division's Oversight Committee informed on trends and emerging issues in the financial services environment.
Requirements :A bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or public policy or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Grade FR-27 Analysts must have a minimum of five years of specific work experience in consumer compliance within the financial services industry or a bank regulatory agency. A comprehensive understanding of federal consumer protection laws and regulations affecting the banking industry is preferred. For Grade FR-28 Analysts, completion of an MBA or equivalent professional program involving banking, finance, economics, or accounting is highly desirable. Grade FR-28 Analysts must have minimum of six years relevant experience with a masters degree or seven years of experience with a bachelors degree. Analysts must be able to work independently and produce end products requiring little or no change or revision. They must also demonstrate the initiative, judgment and knowledge necessary to identify, analyze and resolve complex consumer compliance and regulatory matters. Analysts will be expected to lead special studies and projects related to consumer compliance supervision and regulations that may require considerable data and information gathering. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communications skills are essential at both grade levels.
